Job summary

Alpharus Health is seeking a Housekeeper (Environmental Services Technician) for the Springfield location. The role supports a residential center with a Monday–Friday daytime schedule and full-time hours, focusing on cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining a safe environment for residents and staff.

Responsibilities include cleaning offices, vacuuming, equipment upkeep, and following infection-control policies.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, Day Shift

Housekeeper responsibilities

• Performing a variety of housekeeping duties including, but not limited to, cleaning offices, vacuuming, sweeping, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms
• Maintaining cleaning equipment and performing routine maintenance to ensure proper use
• Using materials and supplies in accordance with manufacturer's directions and following Infection Control policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months related work experience
• Ability to work a full time schedule

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds on an hourly basis.
• Ability to stoop, bend, kneel and crouch.
• Ability to reach and grasp objects.
• Ability to stand for at least thirty minutes at a time.
• Work requires pushing or pulling supply cart(s) on a daily basis.

Compensation (based on experience)

• $15.00 - $18.23 per hour
• Starting rates are determined based on years of experience, qualifications, and relevant skills.
• Alpharus Health conducts annual performance reviews, with merit increase eligibility determined by employee performance and organizational financial performance.
