Job summary

Guthrie's Robert Packer Hospital EVS department is seeking a per diem Housekeeper to ensure a clean, safe, aseptic environment across inpatient, outpatient, and office areas.

No experience required; High School Diploma or GED preferred. You will perform cleaning, disinfection, waste handling, and equipment maintenance while delivering exceptional service to patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Reports maintenance issues to management (e.g., burned out lights, wall damage, leaking faucets, EVS equipment).
• Maintains equipment, cart and closet in clean and safe working conditions, including supplies.
• Identifies and segregates waste according to applicable state, federal and local regulations.
• Remains compliant with annual training requirements and participates in regular training.
• Participates in team meetings and committees to improve department processes.
• Operates Epic Rovers and vocera systems to facilitate communications and timely task completion.
• Assists in training new hires in assigned areas.

Housekeepers ensures a clean, safe, and aseptic environment across inpatient, outpatient, and office areas. This role supports patient care by performing cleaning, disinfection, waste handling, and equipment maintenance while delivering exceptional customer service.
Your Workday:
Per Diem
includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
A per diem position is an as‑needed job where you work only when the employer needs coverage, rather than on a fixed full‑time or part‑time schedule.

Summary

Performs a variety of general cleaning and disinfection tasks in both patient and ancillary areas. Removes waste in accordance with local, state and federal regulations. Provides exceptional service to internal and external customers.

Essential Functions

4. 4. Maintains equipment, cart and closet in clean and safe working conditions, including ensuring appropriate levels of supplies are readily available.
5. 5. Identifies and segregates waste according to applicable state, federal and local regulations.
6. 6. Remains compliant with all annual training requirements and participates in regular training to ensure a continued understanding of departmental policies and procedures.
7. 7. Participates in team meetings, working groups and committees as needed to assist in developing processes within the department.
8. 8. Operates Epic Rovers and vocera systems to facilitate effective communications within the department and to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
9. 9. Assist in the training of new hires in the assigned areas.
