Position Overview

The Housekeeper provides a clean and safe environment for staff, visitors, and patients within the hospital. They maintain a consistent floor care program to enhance the facility's appearance.

Employment Details

• Type: Full-time
• Shift: Evening Shift (primarily 3:15 pm - 11:45 pm)

Responsibilities

• Disinfect patient treatment, invasive care areas, and other designated zones to maximize infection prevention and ensure compliance with policies.
• Handle collection, storage, and disposal of medical, biohazard, pharmaceutical, chemotherapy, sharps, and soiled linen products per policies.
• Clean remodeled or new areas to prepare for occupancy.
• Perform project work such as cubicle curtain changes, construction cleanup, floor refinishing, carpet cleaning, wall washing, refrigerator cleaning, and related tasks.
• Prepare patient rooms and support areas for new patients, including disinfection, bed making, and supplies replenishment.
• Interact with patients and visitors to provide directions and hospital information.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
