Job summary

Emerson Health seeks an Environmental Services Associate on a per diem basis to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff across our healthcare facility. The role reports to the Supervisor of Environmental Services, following established cleaning and safety protocols while collaborating with team members to ensure high standards are met.

The position requires attention to detail, strong customer service, and the ability to work evenings with the option

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Healthcare or EVS experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, common areas, and staff spaces per EVS standards.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines.
• Restock supplies and keep work areas organized.
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests and support patient flow.
• Work independently and as part of a team to meet daily priorities.
• Interact respectfully with patients, visitors, and staff to support a positive environment.

Schedule: Per Diem

Pay Range: $18.00 - $23.00 / Hourly

Shift: Evening shift

Hours: 2:30pm-11:00pm

Reporting to the Supervisor of Environmental Services, you will follow established cleaning and safety protocols while collaborating with team members and Group Leaders to ensure high standards are consistently met.

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, common areas, and staff spaces according to Environmental Services (EVS) standards
• Follow established infection control and safety guidelines
• Restock supplies and maintain organized work areas
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests and support patient flow
• Work independently and as part of a team to meet daily priorities
• Interact respectfully with patients, visitors, and staff to support a positive environment

What You Bring

Required Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Preferred Experience

• Previous cleaning, housekeeping, or environmental services experience (healthcare setting is a plus)

Licensure & Certification

• None required
