Job summary

Shaw Industries is seeking a Housekeeper Distribution I for a 2nd shift to maintain the clean and safe appearance of a busy industrial warehouse. You will operate cleaning machinery such as sweepers and scrubbers, manage debris and recyclables, and support overall housekeeping throughout the facility.

The role requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work in varying temperatures, and comply with safety rules, training, and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Must operate Sweeper/Scrubber and other PITs safely and effectively.
• Perform daily cleaning of all warehouse drive aisles, walkways, and designated locations.
• Must adhere to attendance, schedule, and overtime requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate cleaning equipment during shift.
• Clean outside areas of the warehouse as needed.
• Maintain general appearance and housekeeping of the warehouse.
• Pick up debris and recyclables throughout the facility.

Job Title

Housekeeper Distribution I 2nd Shift

Position Objective:

Responsible for the general appearance/housekeeping ofindustrialwarehouse(s),and the proper disposal of waste/recyclables.

Essential Functions:

Considering job knowledge, job environment, effort, manipulative skill, judgment, safety knowledge, and responsibility:

• Must be able to operate aSweeper,Scrubberand other PIT’ssafely and effectively.

• Perform dailycleaningall warehouse drive aisles and areas, pedestrian walkways, and designated locations

• Pick upany debris/materials and recyclables throughout the facility(s)

• As needed operate the Scrubber feature.

• Clean the outside areas of the warehousemonthly and or as needed.

• Perform various duties as directed by the supervisor.

• Must adhere to a normal work schedule, starting and stopping times andcompany attendance/tardiness policy.

• Must be able to work necessary overtime

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to remain seated for extended periods while operating cleaning equipment.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.

• Ability to routinely lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and environmental conditions.

TrainingRequirements:

• Must complete Lift Truck Operator training program.

• Must complete required SMS Training.

Safety and Security Requirements:

• Operate with only one person on board.

• Watch for pedestrians.

• Must complete required training.

• Must adhere to all corporate and facility safety rules including use of proper PPE for specific job tasks.
