Job summary

Avery Point by Erickson Senior Living is seeking a Housekeeper for our gated retirement community in Short Pump, VA. The position is full-time with benefits, offering a shift from 9:30am to 6:00pm and a compensation range of $17/hr to $17.50/hr based on experience.

Responsibilities include cleaning resident homes and community spaces, operating carpet and hard floor care equipment, and maintaining cleanliness across the campus.

Qualifications

• Previous experience cleaning in a residential or commercial setting is ideal.
• Ability to safely operate carpet care equipment and hard floor care equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as a contributing team member.
• Ability to safely operate Housekeeping vehicles.
• Ability to demonstrate professional interactions with residents, family members, staff and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident’s homes in Independent Living or Nursing Home rooms.
• Maintain cleanliness of the Community using specialized equipment.
• Clean public bathrooms, including counters, mirrors, sinks, and fixtures.
• Clean lobbies and living rooms; vacuum, dust, declutter, remove trash, spot clean walls/windows/switches.
• Clean classrooms; dust, vacuum, boards, tables and chairs.
• Assist with trash collection, bagging, disposal and replacing liners.
• Maintain carpeted surfaces with extraction, interim cleaning and vacuuming.

How you will make an impact

• Cleaning resident’s homes in Independent Living or Resident Rooms in Nursing Home
• Maintaining cleanliness of the Community through the use of specialized equipment.
• Cleaning public bathrooms, including counters, mirrors, sinks, lavatories, fixtures
• Cleaning lobbies/living rooms including vacuuming, high and low dusting, de-cluttering, and removing trash, spot clean walls/windows/switches, baseboards, pictures, lights, HVAC vents.
• Cleaning classrooms, including dusting, vacuuming, white/chalkboards, tables/chairs
• Assisting with the collection, bagging, and disposal of trash, as well as replacing trashcan liners
• Maintaining carpeted surfaces, including extracting, interim cleaning, spotting, drying, and vacuuming.

What you will need
