Housekeeper Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all resident areas.
• Keep utility and linen rooms tidy.
• Distribute laundered linens and articles as needed.
• Disinfect and sterilize equipment and supplies.
• Dust furniture and equipment; polish metalwork; empty trash receptacles.
• Manage housekeeping supplies adequately.
• Use chemicals safely according to manufacturer instructions.
• Follow infection control standards during cleaning.
• Ensure cleaning equipment and carts are clean, safe, and organized.
• Provide positive customer service to residents, families, visitors, and co-workers.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• No prior experience necessary; training provided. Experience preferred.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret information.
• Effective communication skills.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, handle objects, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.
• Occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.
• Capability to work in inclement weather when required.
• Potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens and hazardous materials.
