Job summary

Blue Water Development Corp. is seeking a housekeeper to maintain guest rooms, cabins, and common areas to resort standards. The role requires attention to detail, ability to work in a team, and commitment to guest-ready accommodations.

This seasonal, on-site position involves living in your own RV with full hook-ups provided for seasonal housing. Expect 36–40 hours per week with flexibility based on rental schedules.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of commercial housekeeping experience, preferably in a hospitality setting.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning guest rooms, cabins, and cottage rentals, as well as communal areas and bathhouses.
• Dusting, polishing, linen changes, bathroom cleaning and sanitation, kitchen fixtures and appliance cleaning, trash removal, vacuuming, or floor cleaning; stripping and making beds.
• Ensuring rooms and rentals exceed standards and are in working order before guest arrival.
• Laundry support: washing, drying, folding, and sorting laundry at the property.
• Providing on-site guest support with excellent customer service.

Job description

INTRODUCTION TO ROLE:

A housekeeper’s responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing. The housekeeper also ensures that all rooms are cared for and inspected according to resort standards. The housekeeper ensures that all vacation rentals, common areas, bathrooms, etc., are clean, “guest-ready,” and inspected in accordance with property standards.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON:

• Cleaning:
  • Cleaning guest rooms, cabins, and cottage rentals, as well as communal areas and bathhouses
  • This includes dusting, polishing, linen changes, bathroom cleaning and sanitation, kitchen fixtures and appliance cleaning, trash removal, vacuuming, or floor cleaning.
    Stripping and making beds
  • Ensuring rooms and rentals exceed standards and are in working order before guest arrival.
• Laundry:
  • Provides laundry support as appropriate, including washing, drying, folding, and sorting laundry at the property.
• Guest Service:
  • Providing on-site guest support by responding to queries or requests through excellent customer service.
• Teamwork:
  • Collaborate with guest service, housekeeping, groundskeeping, and other departments to exceed guest expectations and achieve company and departmental goals.
  • Ensures the property is clean, orderly, well-manicured, and always guest-ready.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrates regular and reliable attendance.

WHAT YOU BRING:

At least 1 year of commercial housekeeping experience, preferably in a hospitality setting (preferred)

  • Must frequently lift and/or move 25-50 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• THIS POSITION IS A WORK CAMPER POSITION. YOU MUST LIVE ONSITE IN YOUR OWN RV. NO POP-UPS OR CONVERSIONS ALLOWED. WE DO NOT PROVIDE HOUSING. SEASONALS ARE PROVIDED A FULL HOOK-UP SITE AT NO CHARGE AND YOU ARE PAID FOR EVERY HOUR WORKED. MUST BE WILLING TO WORK 36-40 HOURS PER WEEK AND BE FLEXIBLE WITH YOUR DAYS OFF DUE TO HOUSE RENTAL SCHEDULE.
