Job summary

Fluor Corporation is seeking a custodian/janitor to perform cleaning duties in facilities requiring TS/SCI access. The role includes cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, common areas, and amenities, with strong emphasis on safety and attention to detail.

You will work as part of a team to support facility operations and event setups. Applicants must be US citizens, eligible for security clearance, and able to obtain/maintain the required clearance.

• Follow safety procedures; monitor for maintenance issues and report to supervisor.

Job Description

*** Must be willing to obtain and maintain a clearance at the TS/SCI access level or higher ***

• Cleaning billeting rooms. Includes making beds, replenishing amenities, cleaning bathrooms, etc.
• Vacuuming
• Laundry in large capacity machines and residential units.
• Mopping, dust mopping, sweeping and scrubbing floors.
• Empty waste containers.
• Low and high cleaning.
• Deliver collected refuse to the dumpster.
• Perform restroom cleaning.
• Clean water fountains.
• Clean freight and passenger elevators.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors at prescribed heights.
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
• Shampoo carpets and some furniture.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners.
• Police grounds and empty waste containers.
• Assist in Special Events setups.
• Must monitor building for maintenance, safety and security issues and report any violations to immediate Supervisor or Management.
• Maintains custodial equipment in a clean, safe operable condition.
• Report shortage of supplies and equipment failures to immediate Supervisor or Management.
• Performs other related work as assigned.

Basic Job Requirements

• A combination of education and directly related experience equal to one (1) year*; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
