Job summary

Maggie’s Place at Colonial Village in Overland Park, KS seeks a dedicated Housekeeper to keep the community clean, safe, and welcoming for residents.

You’ll operate vacuums and cleaners, work in damp areas, handle cleaning chemicals with proper PPE, and accommodate resident requests while upholding our standards of infection control and dignity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Experience in housekeeping is helpful but not required.
• Comfortable working in damp or dirty areas and handling cleaning chemicals with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Operate vacuums and shampooers and other cleaning equipment.
• Work in damp, dusty, and dirty areas; may clean up waste or body fluids as needed.
• Handle cleaning solvents with proper PPE and follow safety guidelines.
• Assist residents with reasonable requests related to housekeeping.

Role

We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our team! This position is critical to our mission and is responsible for maintaining the facility’s general cleanliness to maintain a sanitary and infection-free condition.

Responsibilities

• Operate various mechanized cleaning equipment, such as vacuums and shampooers.


• Requires working in damp, dusty and dirty areas. At times must clean up human waste and other body fluids, as needed.


• Handles various cleaning solvents and chemicals and is required to use the proper personal protection equipment (PPE).


• May be asked to fulfill various resident requests within reason.

Qualifications

Qualifications: The Housekeeper should be a high school graduate or equivalent. Experience is helpful but not necessary.
