Job Description

Maintain and care for our facilities and keep our buildings in a clean and orderly condition. The external and internal appearance of a building reflects on the occupants. It is important for the housekeeping attendant to be careful and thorough in working, cleaning, and tidying the premises. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a cleaning/housekeeping role focused on the general cleaning of facilities. They must have great physical endurance to cover a large space. A keen eye for detail and diligence are also imperative to the position.

Responsibilities

1. Clean and supply designated building areas to include but not limited to dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning, etc.
2. Ensure cleanliness by taking out trash, tidying up break room, and dusting surfaces.
3. Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks, and showers and restock disposables (e.g. soap).
4. Wipe mirrors, doors, and windows.
5. Maintain outer premises by sweeping sidewalks, taking out trash, and cleaning entrances.
6. Stock and maintain cleaning supplies.
7. Cooperate with the rest of the staff.
8. Follow all health and safety regulations.
9. Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects.
10. Report to supervisor or maintenance any minor repairs (replacing broken switches, fixing door handles, minor leaks, etc.) damages and ensure follow-up when needed.
11. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

1. Knowledge and ability to work with cleaning chemicals and supplies.
2. Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets.
3. Integrity and ability to work independently and with little supervision.
4. Ability to work well under minimal supervision.
5. Strong attention to detail and conscientiousness.
6. Very good physical condition and strength.
7. High school diploma/GED is preferred but not required.
8. Must be able to work assigned days/shifts (including some weekends).
9. Must have a current attendance score of four (4) points or less at the time of receiving the bid.

NOTE: Any corrective action given will follow our disciplinary policy, with the additional course of action: When an individual reaches a suspension level, the employee's position will be revoked, and the employee will return to a general labor position.
