Job summary

The Harrison at Heritage - Fort Worth, TX is hiring a Housekeeping Assistant for a full-time day shift (8am–4pm). The role involves cleaning patient rooms, common areas, and facilities in accordance with established protocols, using proper chemicals and equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance is helpful.
• Experience in the use of floor-care equipment is helpful.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily according to facility protocols.
• Uses proper chemicals in proper portions and mops floors as directed.
• Empties trash, replaces liners, and disposes of waste in proper receptacles.
• Vacuums carpets as assigned by Supervisor.
• Washes and dries windows with appropriate chemicals and equipment.
• Reports repair needs to Supervisor or maintenance team.
• Requests needed supplies and equipment from Supervisor.
• Identifies and corrects safety hazards and follows safety rules.
• Reviews Cantex policies for Abuse Prevention and enforces them.
• Attends weekly in-services and complies with Patient Care Management Systems.
• Responsible for patient/resident safety and performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The overall purpose of the Housekeeping Assistant position is to perform scheduled housekeeping tasks as may be assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor. This position may mop, sweep, dust, wash windows, shampoo and vacuum carpets, arrange furniture, etc. and generally clean furniture, equipment, fixtures and hardware.

• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Essential Functions

• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas on a daily basis and in accordance with Facility protocols.
• Uses proper chemicals in proper portions. May dust mop, wet mop, or spot-mop floors.
• Empties trash containers, replaces liners as appropriate and disposes of trash in proper receptacles.
• Vacuums carpets as directed by Supervisor.
• Utilizes proper chemicals and equipment to wash and dry windows.
• Reports repair needs to Supervisor or maintenance department as appropriate.
• Requests needed supplies and equipment from Supervisor.
• Identifies and corrects safety hazards and abides by safety rules.
• Has reviewed Cantex Continuing Care Network Policy and Procedures for Abuse Prevention and knows the employees responsibility to enforce it.
• Attends weekly in-services, understands, and complies with Patient Care Management Systems.
• Responsible for assuring patient/resident safety.
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
