Job summary

State of Georgia is seeking a Housekeeper 2 at East Central Regional Hospital in Augusta. Under general supervision, you will perform duties to maintain order, sanitation and cleanliness in facilities.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in related area of assignment; or one year of experience at Housekeeper 1 (FES040) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and straightens assigned areas.
• Collects, sorts, launders, transports, and distributes linens and uniforms.
• Observes required safety precautions in disposing of contaminated refuse.
• Maintains and stocks equipment and supplies as needed.
• Ensures laundry, housekeeping and floor equipment is in good working condition.
• May mend linens and assist in preventative maintenance and repair.
