Job summary

NewVista Behavioral Health in Peru, IN is hiring a full-time Housekeeper for The Grove Estates. The position offers day shifts with a competitive wage of $13-$15 per hour.

You will be cleaning client rooms, offices, and public areas to maintain a safe, comfortable environment for patients and staff. Qualified candidates have housekeeping experience in a large facility, a positive attitude, strong teamwork, and the ability to work under pressure.

• Maintain a safe environment compliant with OSHA regulations.

Pay Range: $13-$15 an hour

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

To qualify for the Housekeeper position, you must have:

• Experience working in housekeeping for a large facility, preferred.
• Positive Attitude!
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Teamwork, flexibility needed to fulfill job responsibilities, adapting to changes in work environment and accepting supervisory feedback.
• Professional, courteous, and respectful interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and other staff.
• Accountability, compliance, and teamwork.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks of client rooms, offices, and public areas
• Vacuum, dust, mop, sweep, and take out trash.
• Clear areas with disinfectants.
• Refill supplies (paper products, soap, etc.)
• Ensure that adequate linens are kept in the hospital.
• Report any needed repairs immediately to supervisor (such as leaky faucets or toilets, missing nuts or screws, beds needing repair, etc).
• Ensuring a safe and risk preventative environment within OSHA regulations.
