Job summary

New Vista Health and Wellness in Springfield, Ohio, is seeking Housekeeper staff for the Ethan Crossing Addiction Treatment Center.

As a Housekeeper, you will perform routine cleaning of client rooms, offices, and public areas, vacuum, dust, mop, and report repairs to your supervisor.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

To qualify for the Housekeeper position, you must have:

• Experience working in housekeeping for a large facility, preferred.
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Teamwork, flexibility needed to fulfill job responsibilities, adapting to changes in work environment and accepting supervisory feedback.
• Professional, courteous, and respectful interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and other staff.
• Accountability, compliance, and teamwork.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

As Housekeeper, you will:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks of client rooms, offices, and public areas
• Vacuum, dust, mop, sweep, and take out trash.
• Clear areas with disinfectants.
• Ensure that adequate linens are kept in the hospital.
• Report any needed repairs immediately to supervisor (such as leaky faucets or toilets, missing nuts or screws, beds needing repair, etc).
• Ensuring a safe and risk preventative environment within OSHA regulations.
