Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes patients' rooms and bathrooms daily.
• Disposes of trash and replenishes supplies according to proper procedures.
• Moves furniture and other fixtures to dust and mop floors; resets furniture to present an attractive environment for patients and visitors.
• Washes walls behind sinks and commodes.
• Cleans and disinfects isolation rooms adhering to proper policies and procedures.
• Cleans and disinfects ancillary areas (utility and linen rooms, nurse's stations, lounges, etc.).
• Cleans and disinfects water fountains, sinks, telephones, and chair rails.
• Vacuum carpets and damp dust furniture weekly in office areas.
• Empties trash and uses hand sweeper on carpets daily.
• Properly disposes of infectious waste and trash following procedures.

Schedule

Rotating days (including weekends and holidays), Sunday-Saturday, 3pm - 11pm. Primarily cleaning in discharge beds; may be assigned to other areas/shifts/days based on hospital needs.
