Job summary

New Vista Health and Wellness is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to support Ethan Crossing of Springfield, with day shifts available. You will perform routine cleaning of patient rooms, offices, and common areas, ensuring a safe, tidy environment in accordance with facility standards.

Experience in housekeeping at a large facility is preferred. Positive attitude, reliability, and teamwork are essential to deliver compassionate care and maintain high cleanliness and safety for residents and staff.

• Experience working in housekeeping for a large facility is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks of client rooms, offices, and public areas.
• Vacuum, dust, mop, sweep, and take out trash.
• Clear areas with disinfectants.
• Refill supplies (paper products, soap, etc.).
• Ensure that adequate linens are kept in the hospital.
• Report any needed repairs to supervisor.
• Maintain a safe environment following OSHA regulations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience working in housekeeping for a large facility, preferred.
• Positive Attitude!
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Teamwork, flexibility needed to fulfill job responsibilities, adapting to changes in work environment and accepting supervisory feedback.
• Professional, courteous, and respectful interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and other staff.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks of client rooms, offices, and public areas
• Vacuum, dust, mop, sweep, and take out trash
• Clear areas with disinfectants
• Refill supplies (paper products, soap, etc.)
• Ensure that adequate linens are kept in the hospital
• Report any needed repairs immediately to supervisor (such as leaky faucets or toilets, missing nuts or screws, beds needing repair, etc)
• Ensuring a safe and risk preventative environment within OSHA regulations.
