Job summary

Taos Ski Valley, Inc. is seeking a friendly Housekeeper to maintain clean guest rooms in a fast-paced alpine resort. You will clean, stock, and sanitize rooms, handle guest amenity requests, and follow strict checklists to ensure consistency.

The role requires reliable attendance, ability to work weekends/holidays, and strong English communication. A background check is required to ensure safety and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Highly detail oriented and capable of following written and verbal instructions.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean, stock, and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds and towels/robes.
• Fulfill guest amenity requests and communicate with Supervisors or Managers.
• Follow room checklists and maintain balance of service closets, laundry, and cleaning carts.
• Return lost and found items properly tagged and ensure guest privacy and safety.
• Shovel balconies and other lodging spaces in snowy/icy conditions.
• Provide courteous service and maintain a positive demeanor with guests and teammates.

The Blake at Taos Ski Valley is a Village and Alpine Ski Resort. As a Housekeeper, you share your passions and simple gestures, which inspire lasting relationships with our guests and fellow employees. You will be performing many cleaning duties professionally and in a safe manner.

• Reliable attendance on all scheduled workdays.
• Clean, stock, and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds and tying or folding towels and robes.
• Fulfill guest amenity requests.
• Follow checklists as given for each room or section.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned.
• Communicate effectively with Supervisors/ Managers daily.
• Maintaining service closets/laundry/cleaning carts/vacuums.
• Return all lost and found items properly tagged.Shovel balconies and other lodging spaces, in snowy and icy conditions.
• Be very kind to our guests and fellow teammates. Anticipate any guest needs.

Qualifications/Knowledge:

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Will be required to be highly detail oriented.
• Will be required to be fluent in English, other language skills preferred.
• Will be required to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written.
• Housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
• Will be required to ask for help and clarification when necessary.

Taos Ski Valley, Inc. is a fast-paced work environment, especially during Holiday and Peak days. Taos Ski Valley is located in a high-altitude, alpine environment. Position may require travel on uneven, snow-packed, or icy terrain and staff may be exposed to wet, cold, and/or humid conditions. Must be able to work in close quarters and with other staff members.

Physical Demands of the Position Include:

Frequently standing, bending, and reaching for long periods of time, daily. Occasionally lifting up to 50-70 pounds. This position will require you to be out in winter conditions about 20% of the time.

Positions dealing with children, of safety-sensitive and/or confidential nature, require driving or positions that handle cash may require a background check and MVR check. Employment is contingent upon a favorable background check and MVR check.
