Job summary

Westminster Oaks in Tallahassee is seeking a full-time Housekeeper to clean residences, Health Center rooms, apartments and common areas. The role supports a large upscale Life Plan Community and Health Center for older adults and those with special needs.

Essential duties include sanitizing rooms, maintaining dining areas, and general cleaning across assigned spaces. We offer flexible hours, competitive wages, health insurance, an onsite fitness facility, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Up to one month related experience or training.
• Healthcare experience with older adults is desirable (6+ months).

Responsibilities

• Cleans residential units, resident rooms and common areas (including stairwells).
• Sanitizes Health Center rooms after move-out or before move-in.
• Maintains dining areas clean and sanitized, at least twice daily.
• Performs cleaning, dusting, sweeping, mopping and vacuuming daily.
• Removes garbage, including biohazards via contracted vendors as needed.
• Performs contracted cleaning duties for independent residents.

Westminster Oaks is a large upscale Life Plan Community and Health Center located in Tallahassee. We are a church related, not-for-profit community service organization dedicated and committed to providing services for older adults and persons with special needs by creating and administering excellent residential and health care facilities.

We are seeking a full-time Housekeeper. The Housekeeper cleans residences; apartments; Health Center rooms and bathrooms and residential common areas.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards and guidelines related to employment with Westminster and its communities.

• Cleans residential units, resident’s rooms and common areas (including stairwells) of assigned work areas.
• Responsible for sanitizing Health Center rooms after a move-out or prior to a move-in.
• Send or bring “protectors” to the laundry area after being used by residents during each meal.
• Maintain dinning areas cleaned and sanitized (at least twice daily).
• Cleaning, dusting, sanitizing, sweeping, mopping and vacuuming daily of assigned work areas.
• Garbage removal including biohazards removal (by contracted vendor) from the assigned areas.
• Cleaning duties/functions as contracted by independent residents.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A high school education or equivalent and up to one month related experience or training.
• Working with older adults in a healthcare setting is desirable, preferably a minimum of 6 months.
