Job summary

Westminster Oaks in Tallahassee is seeking a full-time Housekeeper to clean residences, Health Center rooms, and common areas, ensuring a sanitary and welcoming environment for residents.

The role focuses on daily cleaning tasks, adherence to safety standards, and supporting residents with courteous service. Qualifications include a high school education and related experience; healthcare experience with older adults is a plus. Flexible hours and competitive wages are offered.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent and up to one month related experience or training.
• Working with older adults in a healthcare setting is desirable, preferably a minimum of 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Cleans residential units, resident’s rooms and common areas (including stairwells) of assigned work areas.
• Sanitizes Health Center rooms after move-out or prior to move-in.
• Maintains dining areas cleaned and sanitized (at least twice daily).
• Cleaning, dusting, sanitizing, sweeping, mopping and vacuuming daily of assigned work areas.
• Garbage removal including biohazards removal from the assigned areas.
• Cleans in accordance with contracted duties with residents.

Westminster Oaks is a large upscale Life Plan Community and Health Center located in Tallahassee. We are a church related, not-for-profit community service organization dedicated and committed to providing services for older adults and persons with special needs by creating and administering excellent residential and health care facilities.

We are seeking a full-time Housekeeper. The Housekeeper cleans residences; apartments; Health Center rooms and bathrooms and residential common areas.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards and guidelines related to employment with Westminster and its communities.

• Cleans residential units, resident’s rooms and common areas (including stairwells) of assigned work areas.
• Responsible for sanitizing Health Center rooms after a move-out or prior to a move-in.
• Send or bring “protectors” to the laundry area after being used by residents during each meal.
• Maintain dinning areas cleaned and sanitized (at least twice daily).
• Cleaning, dusting, sanitizing, sweeping, mopping and vacuuming daily of assigned work areas.
• Garbage removal including biohazards removal (by contracted vendor) from the assigned areas.
• Cleaning duties/functions as contracted by independent residents.

Qualifications

• A high school education or equivalent and up to one month related experience or training.
• Working with older adults in a healthcare setting is desirable, preferably a minimum of 6 months.
