ST. JAMES LIVING CENTER in St. James, Missouri, is seeking a housekeeper to join our team. The role includes cleaning resident rooms and common areas, maintaining safety and cleanliness, and operating laundry equipment as needed.

The successful candidate will be reliable, able to follow a schedule, and capable of working a varied schedule with potential 1-year experience in healthcare or commercial housekeeping. This position is on-site with a strong team focus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Reliable and able to follow a schedule.
• Varied schedule as requested may be required.
• Healthcare or commercial laundry: 1 year preferred.
• Healthcare or commercial housekeeping: 1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms and common areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety throughout designated areas.
• Operate and maintain laundry equipment.
• Handle removal of trash and soiled linens.
• Lift up to fifty pounds as needed.

Housekeeper Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must be experienced at cleaning with a keen eye for details
• Perform housekeeping duties in Resident rooms
• Responsible for cleaning common areas of the facility
• Maintains a high level of cleanliness & safety throughout designated areas
• Ensure that all equipment is clean and in working condition at all times
• Removal of trash & soiled linens. Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds
• Must be able to work as a team member
• Solid work ethic, with initiative for quality and customer service
• Ability to learn how to operate commercial laundry equipment

Housekeeper Qualifications and Skills:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
• Must be Reliable and Keep to a Schedule
• May Need to Work a Varied Schedule, as requested
• Healthcare or Commercial Laundry: 1 year (Preferred)
• Healthcare or Commercial Housekeeping: 1 year (Preferred)
