Job summary

Mount Holyoke College is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness of residential halls, offices, and cultural centers in an institutional setting. You will follow a detailed cleaning program and work in an in-person, full-time role starting 09/21/2026.

The position requires lifting up to 30 pounds, weekend availability, and a commitment to safety. Benefits include a 403(b) plan, health insurance, and generous paid time off.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• General cleaning tasks at campus buildings.
• Sweeping, vacuuming and washing floors.
• Emptying waste receptacles.
• Cleaning and disinfecting bathroom toilets, showers, countertops, mirrors, sinks and high touch surfaces.
• Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures.
• Communicate building and safety concerns, report need for repair or services.
• Additional duties related to Commencement, Reunion, Events and Summer Conferences as assigned.

Job Description:

The Housekeeping position is responsible for the cleanliness of allthe residential halls, offices within the residential halls, andcultural centers. This position performs in aninstitutional/residential setting that requires planning for a“least-disruptive” approach to work, an appreciation of the uniquesurroundings. The seven hundred plus acres of Mount Holyoke mustalways reflect the historic and iconic beauty of our Ivy Leagueinstitution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• General cleaning tasks at campus buildings.
