Job summary

Aperion Care's Greenville Center in Greenville, RI is hiring a part-time Housekeeper to keep resident rooms clean, safe, and comfortable. You will work 24 hours per week in a fast-paced senior living environment, collaborating with staff to maintain high standards.

Responsibilities include cleaning rooms, mopping floors, attending spills, sanitizing surfaces, and supporting privacy and safety practices while delivering compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in housekeeping in a nursing home or related medical facility (preferred but not required).
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to follow instructions, accept feedback, and work harmoniously with staff and residents.
• Ability to maintain privacy and protect residents' health information.
• Willingness to adapt to new methods and schedules in housekeeping practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensure residents' rooms are neat, clean, and free from odor.
• Wet mop floors daily and shampoo or extract carpets as scheduled.
• Attend to spills immediately and empty trash with proper disposal.
• Clean bed, rails, countertops, windowsills, furniture and over-the-bed items.
• Strip, seal, and refinish floors as scheduled; clean edges and corners.
• Clean windows and mirrors; manage personal items and decorations with care.
• Demonstrate safe cleaning techniques and maintain open communication with the team.
• Follow privacy practices and protect residents' health information.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Job Summary:

Welcome to Greenville Center, where we provide a continuum of senior living and care services. As a member of our housekeeping team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure residents' rooms are neat, clean, and free from odor
• Wet mop floors daily
• Shampoo and extract carpets as per schedule
• Attend to spills immediately
• Empty trash liners and clean containers
• Clean bed and rails with disinfectant
• Clean all countertops, windowsills, bedside tables, furniture, and over-the-bed items
• Strip, seal, and refinish floors as per schedule
• Clean floor edges and corners to prevent build-up
• Clean windows and mirrors
• Clean personal items, pictures, decorations, flowers, etc.
• Demonstrate correct safety techniques
• Contribute to effective communication and pleasant working conditions
• Comply with privacy practices and protect residents' health information
• Other duties assigned by the managerial team

Requirements:

• Minimum of one (1) year experience in housekeeping in a nursing home or other related medical facility (preferred, but not required)
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism
• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
• Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel and handle residents based on their current maturity level
• Ability to seek out and accept new methods and principles and incorporate them into existing housekeeping practicesAbility to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixture of cleaning compounds, liquids, cleaning instructions, etc.
• Ability to communicate information effectively to appropriate personnel regarding emergency situations
