Job summary

The Landings of Smithfield is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our team and ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of our facility. You will perform general cleaning, laundry, waste management, and resident engagement to maintain a welcoming environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in housekeeping or janitorial is preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean common areas, resident rooms, and restrooms to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Assist with washing, folding, and distributing laundry for residents and staff.
• Dispose of trash and recyclables and maintain clean waste areas.
• Maintain and restock cleaning supplies and equipment; report shortages.
• Follow safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment.
• Collaborate with staff to keep the facility well-maintained.
• Engage with residents in a friendly and respectful manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleaning & Maintenance: Perform general cleaning duties, including vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and mopping common areas, resident rooms, and restrooms to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Laundry Services: Assist with washing, folding, and distributing laundry for residents and staff as needed.
• Waste Management: Dispose of trash and recycling materials properly, ensuring that waste areas are clean and organized.
• Inventory Management: Assist with maintaining and restocking cleaning supplies and equipment. Notify management of any supply shortages or equipment issues.
• Safety & Sanitation: Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for residents and staff.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members to ensure that the facility is well-maintained and residents are comfortable.
• Resident Engagement: Engage with residents in a friendly and respectful manner, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications:
