Job summary

Greenville Center (3) is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable spaces for residents in Greenville, RI. The role supports a continuum of senior living and care services, focusing on attention to detail and resident comfort.

Responsibilities include cleaning rooms, mopping floors, shampooing carpets, handling spills, waste disposal, sanitizing surfaces, and following safety practices. The position is part-time (24 hours/week) based at our facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience in housekeeping in a nursing home or related medical facility (preferred).
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to follow instructions and accept constructive criticism.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, staff and visitors.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with others and adapt to residents' needs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure residents' rooms are neat, clean, and free from odor
• Wet mop floors daily
• Shampoo and extract carpets as per schedule
• Attend to spills immediately
• Empty trash liners and clean containers
• Clean bed and rails with disinfectant
• Clean all countertops, windowsills, bedside tables, furniture, and over-the-bed items
• Strip, seal, and refinish floors as per schedule
• Clean floor edges and corners to prevent build-up
• Clean windows and mirrors
• Clean personal items, pictures, decorations, flowers, etc.
• Demonstrate correct safety techniques
• Contribute to effective communication and pleasant working conditions
• Comply with privacy practices and protect residents' health information
• Other duties assigned by the managerial team

As a member of our housekeeping team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team.

Responsibilities:

Requirements:

• Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism

• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public

• Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel and handle residents based on their current maturity level

• Ability to seek out and accept new methods and principles and incorporate them into existing housekeeping practices

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixture of cleaning compounds, liquids, cleaning instructions, etc.

• Ability to communicate information effectively to appropriate personnel regarding emergency situations
