Job summary

Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a dedicated Hospital Housekeeper to ensure clean, safe environments for patients, visitors and staff.

You will clean patient rooms, offices, guest rooms, bathrooms, lavatories, and common areas, and transport and restock linen, with rotating weekends and holidays. This PRN, evenings position supports a team focused on quality service and infection prevention.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to perform cleaning and sanitization tasks to hospital standards.
• Commitment to safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean offices, patient rooms, guest rooms, bathrooms, lavatories, halls and food service areas.

The primary responsibility of the Housekeeper is to provide the highest quality of service to customers at all times. In order to fulfill these responsibilities, Housekeepers clean offices, patient rooms, guest rooms, bathrooms, lavatories, halls, food service areas, patient service areas, and any other area that may need attention. They also transport and restock linen.Work Schedule:Up to Five-day work week, scheduled as needed - Evenings: shift start 3pm or 4pm, 8 hour shifts - Sunday through Saturday. Rotating weekend schedule, every 3rd weekend.Education/Experience:High School graduate or G.E.D. preferred.Licensure/Certification:None Required.
