Job summary

Mill Creek is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to perform scheduled housekeeping tasks in a care facility, including cleaning rooms, bathrooms, and common areas, and maintaining a safe environment. The role requires routine use of cleaning chemicals and equipment and adherence to facility protocols.

The position involves coordinating with the Housekeeping Supervisor, attending weekly in-services, and contributing to resident safety while performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience in institutional housekeeping.
• Experience in the use of floor-care equipment is helpful.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily in accordance with facility protocols.
• Uses proper chemicals in proper portions and may mop floors.
• Empties trash and replaces liners; disposes of trash correctly.
• Vacuums carpets and reports repairs to supervisor or maintenance.
• Washes and dries windows using proper chemicals and equipment.
• Requests supplies and equipment from supervisor as needed.
• Identifies safety hazards and adheres to safety rules.
• Attends weekly in-services and complies with Patient Care Management Systems.
• Ensures patient/resident safety.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

This position may mop, sweep, dust, wash windows, shampoo and vacuum carpets, arrange furniture, etc. and generally clean furniture, equipment, fixtures and hardware.Qualifications:Experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance is helpful.Experience in the use of floor-care equipment is helpful.Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.Essential Functions:Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas on a daily basis and in accordance with Facility protocols.Uses proper chemicals in proper portions.
