Job summary

Devereux Massachusetts is seeking a full-time Housekeeper in Rutland, MA. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule from 5:30am to 1:30pm with some flexibility and pays starting at $19/hour, rising to $21.66 with relevant experience. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
• Ability to work on feet 95% of the day and perform repetitive motion.
• Previous housekeeping/maintenance experience preferred.
• Complete 3 days of orientation training, Mon-Wed, 8am-4pm.

Responsibilities

• Use and understand various cleaning chemicals; keep supplies neat and secure.
• Read and follow written/verbal task assignments for each area; monitor conditions and report concerns.
• Collect and wash soiled linens from assigned buildings.
• Complete daily cleaning tasks, including disinfecting bathrooms and dining areas.
• Complete scheduled cleaning tasks, including shampooing carpets, cleaning air vents, buffing tile.
• Perform as-needed cleaning tasks, including replenishing toiletries and vacuuming common areas.

Devereux Massachusetts and Rhode Island provides individualized treatment for children, adolescents and young adults with emotional, behavioral and cognitive differences. As a Housekeeper You Will

• Use and understand various chemicals and their application to sanitation. Keep supplies neat, orderly, and securely away from individuals.
• Be able to read and follow written and verbal task assignments for each assigned area. Monitor condition of assigned areas and report any concerns or damage to supervisor.
• Collect and wash soiled linens from assigned buildings.
• Complete daily cleaning tasks as assigned, including but not limited to disinfecting bathrooms and food/dining areas, etc.
• Complete scheduled cleaning tasks as assigned, including but not limited to shampooing carpets, cleaning air vents, buffing tile, etc.
• Complete as-needed cleaning tasks as assigned, including but not limited to replenishing toiletries, vacuuming common areas, cleaning messes, etc.
