Job summary

Morning Pointe Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to assist residents by performing weekly housekeeping, changing linens, vacuuming, and cleaning kitchens and bathrooms. This role emphasizes safety, compassion, and teamwork to support a comfortable living environment for seniors.

You will work as part of a team, maintaining clean common spaces and respecting residents’ preferences, while adhering to company standards and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods
• Reading, writing and basic math and verbal communication skills required
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Perform weekly housekeeping tasks for residents including changing linens, vacuuming, mopping floors, kitchen and bathroom cleaning.
• Keep resident and common areas clean and presentable; build relationships with residents and families
• Follow safety regulations and procedures; assist other areas as needed to maintain a quality care environment

Housekeepers are expected to accomplish tasks outside of their normal assignments whenever necessary to maintain a quality care environment for our residents. As part of a team-oriented workplace, Housekeepers participate in training opportunities and offer help to other areas and staff in need. The typical work of a Housekeeper can include:

1. Work with the Morning Pointe team to build relationships with residents and families
2. Perform weekly housekeeping services for residents including-
   • Changing linens and making the bed
   • Vacuuming and mopping of floors
   • Kitchen and bathroom cleaning
   • Dusting and polishing
3. Get to know the personal cleaning preferences of our residents
4. Keep common spaces clean and presentable
5. Remove waste from common areas regularly
6. Work safely by following regulations and procedures
