Job summary

Lakewood is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team in Richmond/Henrico, VA. The full-time position runs 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday with every other weekend, offering competitive pay up to $18.28 per hour based on experience and a supportive work environment.

As a Housekeeper, you will maintain cleanliness and sanitation across community areas, manage supplies, and work closely with residents and staff to ensure a safe, welcoming living space.

Qualifications

• 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with every other weekend
• Stand and walk throughout the workday
• Perform routine and repetitive cleaning tasks
• Organize tasks and maintain an effective workflow
• Pleasant personality and patience when interacting with residents, guests, and team members
• Read, write, communicate, and comprehend English
• Follow verbal and written instructions
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Previous housekeeping experience is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned areas throughout the community
• Regularly inspect areas for cleanliness and address issues
• Maintain an adequate supply of cleaning materials and equipment
• Keep cleaning supplies and equipment clean, organized, and accessible
• Check cleaning equipment daily for proper operation
• Report equipment malfunctions, damage, or safety concerns
• Maintain housekeeping logs and records on time
• Follow established cleaning procedures and schedules
• Follow infection control, safety, hazardous waste removal, and other policies
• Interact respectfully with residents, guests, families, and team members
• Work effectively as part of a team
• Perform other housekeeping duties as assigned

Position Responsibilities

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout assigned areas of the community.

Responsibilities include:

• Clean and maintain assigned areas throughout the community
• Regularly inspect areas for cleanliness and address areas requiring attention
• Maintain an adequate supply of cleaning materials and necessary equipment
• Keep cleaning supplies and equipment clean, organized, and readily accessible
• Check cleaning equipment daily for proper operation
• Report equipment malfunctions, damage, or safety concerns
• Maintain required housekeeping logs and records accurately and on time
• Follow established cleaning procedures and schedules
• Follow infection control, safety, hazardous waste removal, and other company policies and procedures
• Interact respectfully and professionally with residents, guests, families, and team members
• Work effectively as part of a team
• Perform other housekeeping duties as assigned

Qualifications
