Job summary

WakeMed Health & Hospitals in Raleigh, NC is seeking an Environmental Services housekeeping team member to maintain a clean, infection-controlled environment across clinical areas, offices, hallways and patient rooms. High School Diploma or Equivalent is preferred; no prior experience required.

Qualifications

• Performs routine housekeeping and cleaning duties in clinical work areas, offices, hallways, restrooms and patient rooms to ensure a clean and safe environment.
• Supports infection prevention and quality experience for patients, families and staff by maintaining cleanliness and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Perform dry and damp mopping, vacuuming rugs and carpets, dusting and sanitizing surfaces in clinical work areas, offices, hallways, restrooms and patient rooms.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment across the facility by following cleaning protocols and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to promote wellness and infection prevention throughout the facility.

Overview

The Environmental Services housekeeping team is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and infection prevention within the facility, and assisting in the promotion of a quality experience for our patients and their families, staff and for those individuals who use our facility on a daily basis. The Environmental Services housekeeping team performs various routine housekeeping and cleaning duties such as dry and damp mopping floors, vacuuming rugs and carpets, dusting and sanitizing surfaces in clinical work areas, offices, hallways, restrooms and patient rooms, to ensure a clean and safe environment.
