Job summary

WakeMed Environmental Services is seeking a dedicated team member to maintain cleanliness and support infection prevention across our Cary, NC facility. You will perform routine housekeeping tasks in clinical areas, patient rooms and common spaces to ensure a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients and staff.

This role emphasizes attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork in a busy hospital setting, contributing to high-quality patient care and comfort throughout the facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in healthcare setting is a plus.
• Able to perform routine cleaning tasks in clinical areas and common spaces.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and infection prevention and control throughout the facility.
• Vacuum, mop, dust, and sanitize in clinical areas, offices, hallways, restrooms and patient rooms.
• Support a quality experience for patients, families, staff and facility users.

The Environmental Services housekeeping team is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and infection prevention and control within the facility and assisting in the promotion of a quality experience for our patients and their families, staff and for those individuals who use our facility on a daily basis. The Environmental Services housekeeping team performs various routine housekeeping and cleaning duties such as dry and damp mopping floors, vacuuming rugs and carpets, dusting and sanitizing surfaces in clinical work areas, offices, hallways, restrooms and patient rooms, to ensure a clean and safe environment.
