Description

As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for providing a wide variety of housekeeping services to maintain the campus in a clean and sanitized condition. These services include, but are not limited to: dusting, trash removal, odor control, collecting and distributing linens, sanitizing surfaces, bathroom cleaning, mopping, vacuuming, carpet and upholstery cleaning, and other duties necessary to ensure a safe environment. You will also need to consistently follow infection control guidelines and universal standard precautions.

Essential Duties:

• Clean and sanitize all areas of the facility daily, following department standards and procedures.
• Ensure proper upkeep and use of housekeeping equipment.
• Maintain environmental, infection, and odor control.
• Adhere to Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) compliance.
• Handle and store Potentially Infectious Material Waste (PIMW) appropriately.
• Assist with special functions, meeting setups, and emergency response tasks as needed.
• May be required to be on-call.
• Communicate effectively in English, using the telephone extensively.
• Maintain confidentiality, multi-task, coordinate projects, and record meeting minutes.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Coordinate with staff regarding patient safety concerns and observations.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• CPR / First Aid certification.
• Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare or commercial setting preferred.
