Job summary

Summit at Plantsville is seeking a diligent Housekeeper to maintain a clean, healing environment for residents and guests. This entry-level role offers hands-on training in long-term care and the opportunity to learn a rewarding career while helping families.

You will perform daily cleaning, restock supplies, and collaborate with staff to ensure safety and comfort. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to read and follow procedures are important; English literacy is required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
• Knowledge of cleaning protocols, infection control, fire prevention and safety measures in long-term care are valued but not required; training will be provided
• Compassionate and empathetic nature
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing common areas and resident rooms
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas
• Dispose of trash and waste
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed
• Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a safe and organized environment
• Respond promptly to housekeeping requests from residents and staff
• Operate cleaning equipment such as buffing machines, vacuums, etc.

What You'll Do:
