Description

Summary of Duties:

Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision. Interact professionally with other team members, customers, and suppliers. Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments. Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other team members and organizations. Maintain strict privileged, proprietary, guest, and employer confidentiality during and beyond the term of my employment. Adhere to all work rules, policies & procedures, and safety standards.

Position Purpose:

Provide the highest level of service to guests by cleaning and preparing suites/ rooms for the guests.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Cleaning assigned rooms according to established standards including making beds, vacuuming carpets, washing dishes, cleaning bathrooms, and dusting furniture.
  2. Place and restock usable items in rooms including paper items, soap, towels, matches, and candy.
  3. Operate housekeeping equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
  4. Maintain and restock housekeeping cart daily.
  5. Administration of key controls for keys issued or keys left by guests in rooms.
  6. Bring all lost and found items to the housekeeping office for logging and storage.
  7. Be knowledgeable of emergency procedures.
  8. Report to the Inspector any problems or concerns with guest rooms including unreported pets, or parties in rooms, unusually dirty or vacant room when the room is thought to be occupied.
  9. Report maintenance concerns to supervisor in a timely manner.
  10. Wear personal protective equipment when cleaning rooms, soiled linens, and bathrooms.
  11. Practice established safety standards at all times.
  12. Participate as a team member with other employees in producing a smoothly and efficiently run operation that meets the highest standards of customer service.
  13. Adhere to the strict confidentiality of all information.
  14. Respect and protect the confidential and privileged information of my employer beyond the terms of my employment.
  15. Ability to communicate effectively with the general public.
  16. General knowledge of company-specified computer operating software.

Requirements

Education/Qualifications:

  1. Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
  2. Must be at least 18 years old.

Licensing:

  1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License.

Work Requirements:

Requires problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively. Position involves prolonged walking, stooping, or bending, lifting, or carrying up to 50 pounds daily. Work is performed in a casino environment with varying levels of lighting, air quality, noise, and / or temperature.
