Job summary

Oak Park Oasis Long Term Care seeks a Housekeeper Aide to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents. You will follow cleaning schedules and assist with linen management to ensure comfort and dignity for residents.

This role requires the ability to lift over 50 pounds, attention to detail, reliability, and the flexibility to work independently. Entry level considered; prior nursing home housekeeping experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift, push, pull and move equipment and supplies over 50 pounds.
• Follow written and oral cleaning and chemical handling instructions.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year experience in nursing home housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary facility.
• Ensure an adequate supply of linen is on hand to meet resident needs.

HOUSEKEEPER - OAK PARK OASIS LONG TERM CARE

Job Responsibilities:

The primary purpose of the Housekeeping Aide is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility and as may be directed by the Administrator and/or Supervisor to assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary manner and that an adequate supply of linen in on hand at all times to meet the needs of the residents.

General Qualifications:

• Must be able to lift, push, pull and move equipment, supplies, etc., in excess of fifty (50) pounds.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixture of cleaning compounds, liquids, cleaning instructions, etc.
• Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a minimum one year experience working in a nursing homehousekeeping position
• Attention to detail
• Reliable

Qualifications and Skills

• Entry level, 1 year experience a plus.
• Perform, follow and adhere to proper body mechanics necessary to perform duties.
• Must be able to stand most shift and do repetitive arm/shoulder movements.
• Must be able to assume responsibility and possess ability to work independently, problem solving and managing time.
