Job summary

The Grove is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain guest rooms, offices, hallways and common areas inside the facility and around the property. You will operate floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums and related equipment to uphold cleanliness standards.

You will assist with admissions-related duties, support new staff training, respond to guest calls promptly, and participate in meetings to ensure a warm, respectful and safe environment for guests and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes Guest rooms, offices, hallways and other areas inside the facility as well as outside and the entire property.
• Operates mechanical floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, snow blowers and related housekeeping equipment
• Cleans vents, fan fixtures, top of windows, doorframes and other high areas using a ladder.
• Performs terminal cleaning procedures of Guest rooms and prepares rooms for new occupants; follows isolations procedures when cleaning isolation rooms.
• Assure that established infection control and standard precaution practices are maintained at all times. Follow established safety precautions when preforming tasks and using equipment and supplies.
• Reports all hazardous conditions, damaged equipment and supply issues to the supervisor.
• Maintains the comfort, privacy and dignity of Guests/guests and interacts with them in a manner that displays warmth, respect and promotes a caring environment.
• Must answer and respond to call lights promptly and courteously when working in Guest care areas.
• Assist with new admissions, re-admissions and assist with the transfer of Guests to different rooms within the facility.
• Assists with training of new staff.
• Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with Guests, visitors, families, peers and supervisors.
• Attend and participate in departmental meetings and in-services as directed.
