Job summary

Sandridge Post Acute is seeking a Housekeeper (Maintenance) to maintain all public and common areas, restrooms and floors for residents and staff. The role focuses on timely cleaning of lobby, hallways, and shared spaces to ensure a clean environment.

You will be responsible for cleaning resident rooms, handling waste, dusting, and maintaining equipment, with emphasis on safety and independence or teamwork as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all public and common areas throughout the day including lobby, restrooms, drinking fountains and floors.
• Maintain the cleanliness of resident rooms and bathrooms.
• Maintain handrails to ensure they are clean and free of debris.
• Clean and remove dust, dirt or food off walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, towel dispensers.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Utilize proper safety measures when cleaning, including the use of caution signage and keeping supplies and chemicals out of reach of the residents.
• Use supplies and equipment in a safe manner by following the user manual instructions.
• Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment and storage areas in a safe, sanitary, clean and orderly manner.
• Notify the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing immediately regarding resident safety issues or concerns.
• Notify the Director of Housekeeping when supplies are needing replenished.
• Excellent customer skills and positive attitude.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently or with a team.
