Job summary

Legacy Healthcare LLC is seeking a housekeeping team member to clean and sanitize guest rooms and public areas inside and around the facility. You will operate floor cleaners and related equipment, assist with room readiness and new admissions, and follow infection control procedures to protect guests and staff.

In this role you will also respond to call lights, interact professionally with guests and families, and assist with training of new staff while participating in in-services as directed.

Qualifications

• Operates housekeeping equipment and mechanical floor cleaners following safety procedures.
• Assists with room readiness, transfers, and new admissions as needed.

Job description

• Cleans and sanitizes Guest rooms, offices, hallways and other areas inside the facility as well as outside and the entire property.
• Operates mechanical floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, snow blowers and related housekeeping equipment
• Cleans vents, fan fixtures, top of windows, doorframes and other high areas using a ladder.
• Performs terminal cleaning procedures of Guest rooms and prepares rooms for new occupants; follows isolations procedures when cleaning isolation rooms.
• Assure that established infection control and standard precaution practices are maintained at all times. Follow established safety precautions when preforming tasks and using equipment and supplies.
• Reports all hazardous conditions, damaged equipment and supply issues to the supervisor.
• Maintains the comfort, privacy and dignity of Guests/guests and interacts with them in a manner that displays warmth, respect and promotes a caring environment.
• Must answer and respond to call lights promptly and courteously when working in Guest care areas.
• Assist with new admissions, re-admissions and assist with the transfer of Guests to different rooms within the facility.
• Assists with training of new staff.
• Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with Guests, visitors, families, peers and supervisors.
• Attend and participate in departmental meetings and in-services as directed.
