Yancey House is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to ensure a clean, comfortable environment for residents. You will perform general cleaning, laundry, waste management, and inventory tasks to keep the facility well-maintained and welcoming.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, prior housekeeping experience, and a compassionate approach to working with seniors. The role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience (preferred).
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning & maintenance: vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and mopping to keep areas clean and safe.
• Laundry services: wash, fold, and distribute resident/staff laundry as needed.
• Waste management: dispose of trash/recycling, keep areas organized.
• Inventory management: restock cleaning supplies and report shortages.
• Safety & sanitation: follow protocols to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Team collaboration: coordinate with staff to maintain the facility.
• Resident engagement: interact with residents in a friendly, respectful manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleaning & Maintenance: Perform general cleaning duties, including vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and mopping common areas, resident rooms, and restrooms to maintain a clean and safe environment.


• Laundry Services: Assist with washing, folding, and distributing laundry for residents and staff as needed.


• Waste Management: Dispose of trash and recycling materials properly, ensuring that waste areas are clean and organized.


• Inventory Management: Assist with maintaining and restocking cleaning supplies and equipment. Notify management of any supply shortages or equipment issues.


• Safety & Sanitation: Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for residents and staff.


• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members to ensure that the facility is well-maintained and residents are comfortable.


• Resident Engagement: Engage with residents in a friendly and respectful manner, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
