Lifeattheviridian is seeking a caring Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, comfortable environment for our residents at The Viridian. You will perform cleaning, laundry, and waste management tasks to support a safe, welcoming home.

This role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and compassion for the elderly. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and prior housekeeping or janitorial experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products and safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties in common areas, resident rooms, and restrooms to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Assist with laundry for residents and staff as needed.
• Dispose of trash and recycling materials, ensuring waste areas are clean and organized.
• Maintain and restock cleaning supplies and equipment; report shortages or issues to management.
• Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Collaborate with other staff to keep the facility well-maintained and residents comfortable.
• Engage with residents in a friendly and respectful manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleaning & Maintenance: Perform general cleaning duties, including vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and mopping common areas, resident rooms, and restrooms to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Laundry Services: Assist with washing, folding, and distributing laundry for residents and staff as needed.
• Waste Management: Dispose of trash and recycling materials properly, ensuring that waste areas are clean and organized.
• Inventory Management: Assist with maintaining and restocking cleaning supplies and equipment. Notify management of any supply shortages or equipment issues.
• Safety & Sanitation: Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for residents and staff.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members to ensure that the facility is well-maintained and residents are comfortable.
• Resident Engagement: Engage with residents in a friendly and respectful manner, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
