Purpose

Maintain assigned areas in a clean, sanitary, safe, orderly, and attractive manner following established procedures and supervisor instructions, ensuring the highest level of cleanliness and sanitation at all times.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written directions

• Effective communication with residents, families, staff, and officials
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly
• Ability to work full or part-time on a regular schedule

Essential Functions

• Follow cleaning schedule and instructions
• Sweep and vacuum assigned areas
• Clean and polish furnishings, fixtures, and surfaces
• Clean windows and mirrors
• Clean walls and ceilings; disinfect and deodorize
• Maintain hallways, stairways, and elevators
• Empty wastebaskets
• Report maintenance issues
• Ensure resident rooms are cleaned and ready for move-in
• Assist with laundry duties
• Manage inventory of supplies and chemicals
• Follow infection control policies
• Attend training and staff meetings
• Maintain cleanliness of supply rooms
• Perform exterior cleaning as needed
