Job summary

The Housekeeper at TreeHouse Foods in Wayland, MI will clean equipment, walls, floors and pipes, and sanitize equipment as part of general housekeeping. Hands-on duties include operating floor scrubbers and following strict food safety procedures.

You will work 1st shift, Thursday through Monday, 8am–4pm, with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off, and must be able to work overtime and weekends while maintaining high quality and safety standards in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

  • Must demonstrate ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
  • Experience with operating a sit-down forklift.
  • Able to work overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Clean equipment, walls, floors and pipes; sanitize and disassemble/assemble equipment; perform general housekeeping.
  • Operate floor scrubbers and high-pressure cleaning equipment.
  • Comply with GMPs, HACCP, LOTO, and food safety programs established by TreeHouse Foods.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

About the Role

The Housekeeper will be responsible for cleaning equipment, walls, floors and pipes, either by hand or using scrubbers and high-pressure cleaning equipment. In this role you will also sanitize, disassemble and re-assemble equipment, do general housekeeping. You'll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:



  • Ability to safely operate floor scrubbers and high-pressure cleaning equipment.

  • Knowledge of safe chemical usage and transportation.

  • Must comply with the requirements defined within the contents of the GMP'S, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), LOTO procedures, and foods safety programs established by Bay Valley Foods.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Important Details


  • This is a full-time position on 1st shift, working Thursday through Monday with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off.

  • 1st shift operates 8am to 4pm


About You


  • Demonstrated experience following instructions/process documents and providing effective communication, both verbal and written

  • Experience with operating a sit-down forklift

  • The ability to work overtime and weekends
