Riddle Village, a lifecare retirement community, is seeking a housekeeper for our Environmental Services Department. This position is full-time and requires working every other weekend.

About the Housekeeper Position:

The ideal candidate is customer service-oriented with excellent communication and organizational skills, able to work independently, and able to build rapport with residents and staff. Responsibilities include cleaning and servicing apartments, baths, and offices, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness, and replenishing supplies.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Cleaning and servicing apartments, baths, and offices.
2. Cleaning, mopping, sweeping floors, dusting, and damp wiping surfaces.
3. Emptying wastebaskets and disinfecting toilets.
4. Polishing fixtures, dusting furniture, and cleaning glass panels.
5. Spot-cleaning walls, dusting baseboards, and arranging furniture in public areas.
6. Replenishing supplies and keeping closets organized.
7. Maintaining cleanliness of assigned areas and cleaning equipment.
8. Performing related duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

The candidate should have a genuine interest in geriatric care, be able to perform routine tasks with consideration for residents, and demonstrate initiative and good judgment. Must meet the following criteria:

• At least 18 years old.
• Ability to cooperate with others and use common cleaning devices.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 44 pounds.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
• Minimum 1 year of professional housekeeping experience.
• Availability to work every other weekend.
