Job summary

Brook View Neurological Centre in Worcester, UK, seeks a Housekeeper to maintain clean, safe and welcoming surroundings for residents, families and staff. You will carry out cleaning across the service, ensuring bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas meet high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

You will manage laundry, stock housekeeping supplies, report shortages, and build positive relationships with residents.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or domestic experience is desirable.
• Basic understanding of infection control, health and safety and COSHH.
• Understanding of cleaning standards and hygiene practices.
• Reliable, organised and able to work to a high standard.
• Flexible and solutions-focused approach.
• Caring and respectful approach when working around residents.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, safe, welcoming surroundings for residents, families, visitors and colleagues.
• Carry out cleaning duties across the service, ensuring bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas meet high cleanliness standards.
• Handle laundry and residents' personal items with care; report shortages or issues to management.

Job description

Brook View Neurological Centre is a purpose-built neurological rehabilitation and long-term care centre in Worcester, West Midlands. Supporting adults with complex neurological conditions and injuries, the centre provides personalised care and rehabilitation focused on promoting independence and achieving meaningful outcomes. With modern facilities, a physiotherapy gym, independent living apartment and landscaped gardens, colleagues work as part of an experienced multidisciplinary team to make a meaningful difference to the people we support.

• £26,782.23per annum
• 40 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension and uniform provided
• 28 days annual leave (pro rata for part time), inclusive of Bank Holidays

Role Overview

As a Housekeeper, you will help maintain clean, safe and welcoming surroundings for the people we support, their families, visitors and colleagues.

You will carry out cleaning duties across the service, ensuring bedrooms, bathrooms, communal areas and other spaces are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.

You will handle laundry and residents' personal items with care, maintain housekeeping supplies and report any shortages or issues to the relevant manager. You will also build positive relationships with residents and offer assistance where appropriate.

Your work will play an important part in creating a warm, homely and therapeutic environment that supports the delivery of high quality care and rehabilitation.
