Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing floors.
  • Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, and surfaces to keep areas hygienic.
  • Follow oral and written instructions to complete schedules and projects.
  • Handle cleaning equipment and supplies safely, including waste disposal.
  • Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and report safety issues to supervisors.

About the Role:

The Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining cleanliness, order, and a welcoming environment within residential or commercial settings. This position ensures that all assigned areas are cleaned thoroughly and efficiently, adhering to established standards and protocols. The Housekeeper contributes to the overall comfort and satisfaction of occupants or guests by performing a variety of cleaning tasks, including floor care, dusting, and waste removal. Attention to detail and the ability to follow both oral and written instructions are essential to successfully complete daily assignments. Ultimately, the Housekeeper supports a safe, hygienic, and pleasant environment that reflects positively on the organization or household.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Ability to speak and understand English to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
  • Manual dexterity to handle cleaning tools and perform physical tasks.
  • Capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
  • Basic mathematical skills to measure cleaning supplies and complete simple computations.
  • Ability to read and write in English for understanding instructions and documenting work.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial services.
  • Familiarity with floor care techniques and use of specialized cleaning equipment.
  • Certification in cleaning safety or related training.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.
