Job summary

Bradford Health Services is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness, order, and a welcoming environment in residential or commercial settings. You will perform floor care, dusting, waste disposal, and follow safety standards to ensure comfort for occupants or guests.

The role requires English communication, physical ability for cleaning tasks, and attention to detail in a fast-paced facility. Training on safety protocols and proper equipment use will be provided as part of onboarding.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, read, and write English to understand and follow instructions.
• Demonstrated manual dexterity and physical ability to perform cleaning tasks.
• Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
• Basic mathematical skills to perform measurements and inventory management.
• Previous housekeeping or similar cleaning role is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing surfaces.
• Maintain floor care and use appropriate techniques and equipment to ensure floors are clean and safe.
• Follow detailed oral and written instructions to complete cleaning schedules.
• Handle cleaning supplies and equipment with care to avoid damage or injury.
• Reach overhead and other difficult areas to clean thoroughly.
• Dispose of waste and recyclables according to guidelines.
• Perform basic calculations to measure cleaning solutions or inventory as needed.
• Communicate effectively in English to understand instructions and report issues.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high cleanliness and safety standards.

About the Role:

The Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining cleanliness, order, and a welcoming environment within residential or commercial settings. This position ensures that all assigned areas are cleaned thoroughly and efficiently, contributing to the overall comfort and satisfaction of occupants or guests. The Housekeeper is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks, including floor care, dusting, and waste disposal, while adhering to safety and hygiene standards. Attention to detail and the ability to follow both oral and written instructions are essential to successfully complete daily assignments. Ultimately, the Housekeeper supports the smooth operation of the facility by creating a clean, safe, and pleasant atmosphere.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to speak, read, and write English to understand and follow instructions.
