Job description

A well-appointed private residence is seeking an experienced, highly reliable Housekeeper & Household Assistant to join its household staff. This is a hybrid position that combines thorough housekeeping with hands-on support for pet care, meal preparation, and household errands — ideal for a candidate who takes genuine pride in maintaining a beautiful home and enjoys variety in their day. You will work closely with the household's Executive Assistant/House Manager, who oversees the household schedule and vendor coordination, so that cleaning, pet care, and errands run smoothly within an established, structured system.

Responsibilities

Maintain the full residence to a consistently high standard. Manage laundry, linens and bed-making; complete daily room resets and dishes; maintain a rotating deep-clean and detail-dusting schedule; and keep cleaning supplies stocked and organized.

Pet Care:

Provide attentive daily care for the household's four small dogs, including feeding, walking, medications and fresh water throughout the day.

Meal Preparation:

Prepare light, high-protein meals following the household's established preferences and rotation of proteins and fresh ingredients.

Errands & Household Support:

Receive and manage deliveries and returns, and support the household's daily reset routine each morning and evening.

What We're Looking For

A dependable, detail-oriented professional with prior experience in private household staffing or a comparable hospitality/service setting. Comfortable working with pets, particularly small dogs. Able to follow a defined system and checklist rather than working ad hoc, while using good judgment on exceptions. Experience with light cooking or meal prep is a strong plus. Excellent communication, discretion, and trustworthiness are essential, as this role has regular access to a private home.

Schedule & Compensation

Monday – Saturday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
