Job summary

Regency Integrated Health Services is seeking a housekeeper to clean and maintain the facility, ensuring a sanitary and attractive environment for residents. The role operates under the supervision of the housekeeping supervisor.

Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning sinks, counters, vents, waste receptacles, and assisting with waste handling while following safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a housekeeper or janitor preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, buff, strip, wash and shampoo floor surfaces.
• Dust and clean furniture, closets, vents and contact surfaces.
• Clean sinks, counters, stainless steel surfaces and waste receptacles.
• Transport medical waste to outside storeroom as directed.
• Ensure paper supplies are available and assist with supply restocking.
• Follow OSHA standards for handling infectious waste.

The Housekeeper performs tasks that involve cleaning and servicing the building areas of the facility. In addition, a variety of housekeeping duties are performed in order to maintain the facility in an orderly, sanitary and attractive condition under the supervision of the housekeeping supervisor. They also assist in maintaining a positive environment for the residents.Thoroughly and consistently performs the following cleaning tasks:Sweeps, mops, vacuums, buffs, strips, washes and shampoos floor surfacesCleans and dusts furniture, closets, telephone areas and ventsScours, polishes and sanitizes sinks, counters, stainless steel surfaces and waste receptaclesEmpties waste receptacles and cleans solid waste containers and transports medical waste to outside storeroom, as directed.Uses room deodorizer as necessary.Ensures paper supplies are always available.Washes windows and walls, which may involve removing draperies and rugs, as directed.Gathers and returns needed cleaning supplies and equipment daily to support rooms, as directed.Follows OSHA Standards for handling infectious wasteEducation and Requirements:High School diploma or equivalentExperience as a housekeeper or janitor preferred, but not requiredRegency Integrated Health Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
