Job summary

Southpark Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents. Under the supervision of the housekeeping supervisor, you will perform a wide range of cleaning duties across facility areas and support a positive atmosphere.

Responsibilities include cleaning floors, dusting surfaces, sanitizing sinks and fixtures, and restocking supplies while following OSHA standards for infectious waste.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a housekeeper or janitor preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, buff, strip, wash and shampoo floor surfaces.
• Clean and dust furniture, closets, vents, sinks and stainless steel surfaces.
• Empty waste receptacles and transport medical waste to outside storeroom as directed.
• Wash windows and walls; assist with draperies and rugs as directed.
• Restock paper supplies and ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are available.
• Follow OSHA standards for handling infectious waste.

Job description

The Housekeeper performs tasks that involve cleaning and servicing the building areas of the facility. In addition, a variety of housekeeping duties are performed in order to maintain the facility in an orderly, sanitary and attractive condition under the supervision of the housekeeping supervisor. They also assist in maintaining a positive environment for the residents.Thoroughly and consistently performs the following cleaning tasks:Sweeps, mops, vacuums, buffs, strips, washes and shampoos floor surfacesCleans and dusts furniture, closets, telephone areas and ventsScours, polishes and sanitizes sinks, counters, stainless steel surfaces and waste receptaclesEmpties waste receptacles and cleans solid waste containers and transports medical waste to outside storeroom, as directed.Uses room deodorizer as necessary.Ensures paper supplies are always available.Washes windows and walls, which may involve removing draperies and rugs, as directed.Gathers and returns needed cleaning supplies and equipment daily to support rooms, as directed.Follows OSHA Standards for handling infectious wasteEducation and Requirements:High School diploma or equivalentExperience as a housekeeper or janitor preferred, but not requiredRegency Integrated Health Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
